Book Review: Animal Farm by George Orwell

Rating: 5 stars of 5

Animal Farm is a poignant, relevant, and slightly terrifying novel that was masterfully written by George Orwell. This was my first time reading an Orwell novel and the experience did not disappoint.

I had heard a lot about this book prior to reading it but was not prepared for just how harrowing it really was. Orwell managed to make a story about barnyard animals about something so much more in a way that both speaks truth and serves as a sobering warning at the same time.

Reading this one has me really looking forward to picking up 1984 this year as well.
